Mogor-Ka

Mogor-Ka, also called the Man Eater, is a legendary creature from the world of Damagal.
According to their legends, the eclipse is the work of Mogor-Ka, a ghostly white woman clad in furs who desired sacrifices. If they didn't gift her a handsome, strong young man every year, the sun would remain consumed, and eternal winter storms would descend upon the realm until they gave in.
The people went along until Mogor-Ka demanded Relgan, son of Queen Sorgath. They refused and, according to the legend, Relgan destroyed Mogor-Ka.
This legend is the basis of the tradition of Mogorkana, where tribal members play the parts of characters in the defeat of Mogor-Ka. Over the centuries, this ritual has become an elaborate courtship ritual, with the Mogor-Ka choosing their favorite of a whole tournament of oiled-up young men or women wrestlers.
