MEMP

MEMP stands for Magical Electro Magnetic Pulse. A MEMP will temporarily reduce or eliminate the magical strength of a person or object, much the same way as an standard EMP shuts down electrical systems.

MEMP emitting devices are hard to make and tend to have a short range, rarely more than 20m. Attempts have been made to extend the range, but the amount of enchanting required for the magical component is prohibitively expensive.
