Death Seers

The Death Seers are one of several similar organizations throughout known space who assist others in finding those lost in space, both living and the dead. Devotees of the personification of death, they use a combination of magic and technology to seek out bodies that went missing during astral or space battles, along with those who went missing in various disasters. They are known for charging relatively fair prices for their services, and act as quickly as possible. Known for their neutrality, few polities ban them from acting in their space, even during active conflicts.

Most of the time the Death Seers operate out of a mothership that ranges throughout a cluster or sector, with smaller, extremely fast ships patrolling the sector in search of the missing dead, as well as being able to quickly respond to requests for aid. They're also well-known for their weapons being particularly effective against undead, who are a persistent danger in their line of work.
