Cantell

Cantell is a planet in a system mainly occupied by Humans. The primary government is an enormous corporation that paid for the planet to be terraformed.
The vast majority of Cantell’s billion inhabitants live in six pyramid-shaped arcologies that are mostly clustered together near one of the coasts. There are thousands of kilometers of automated farms outside the cities, with clusters fed by underground hubs.
The arcologies are officially called the Vanmead Arcologies, but the locals just call them the Towers. Each of the massive pyramids extends a kilometer above the ground and almost half a kilometer downward, the lower floors buried deep in the bedrock. The farther down you go, the more lawless and dangerous they become.
Cantell is a producer of recreational drugs such as Joyleaf.
Sources of entertainment on the planet include a few beach resorts, and skiing in the mountains.
