Rust Lung

A vile sickness which is only contracted by the Glitch, it is comparable to lung cancer for most "fleshy" lifeforms such as Humans, it is however way quicker. The disease can be cured with current medical means, however, the Glitch are a gravely severed species. Indeed, most of their population is stuck in a Technological Dark Age akin to the Medieval Age, this sequentially prevents the bulk of their species to receive proper medical treatment.
Thus, Rust Lung ravages through entire Glitch cities on remote planets.  Concerning the symptoms of this illness, they are relatively simple. It starts off as a barely audible and metallic scratching sound with each breath taken by the sick individual. Over the course of several weeks, the "Rust Tumor" expands exponentially and prevents proper breathing patterns, eventually leading to a deterioration of the lungs and the collapse of the trachea after 2 months.
The sick individual dies in excruciating pain as the "Rust Tumor" expands to the rest of the body, eating away at the metal innards of the Glitch.
