Ragnars Hold (City)
Ragnar's Hold
A massive Scandinavian keep built entirely out of Ironwood, a wood grown in the forest of its namesake and known for being as strong as steel. It has been called many things over the past century of Fenrikan rule, usually being named after the current Jarl or their father. located in the Freeholdes and the seat of the Fenrikan royal house.

Government
Feudal Monarchy, Lead by the nobles descendant of the original invaders and backed by the exclusive rights of the elites.
Taxation is fair but mild when compared to neighbors. farming and mercenary work keep the economy sustained, though raiding was the most profitable outing for most of its nobles. As of now, King Ragnar has currently banned raiding and worked most of his life to rebuild the image of his nation as more than just a bunch of barbarians.
Defences
Two walled city, the outer wall is 40ft high and the inner wall is 50ft high. towers are placed every few hundred feet. there is a deep and wide moat surrounding the outer wall.
Industry & Trade
The main exports are their famous honeyed ale, timber, Longships, and mercenaries, small groups of companions and karls sent out to protect Axian merchant ships or trade route at high prices due to the skill of the warriors.
They import bronze for weapons and armor, food to make up for inefficiencies in the harvest, and other necessary supplies to aid their poorer farmers and craftsmen.

Shields Faction - opposes raiding and seeks to build up the kingdoms reputation peacefully. Lead by King Ragnar
Swords Faction - Seeks to return to raiding their neighbors and restore the wealth of the kingdom. Lead of Prince Ivar the Hunter
History
The site of Tyr's first major victory it was built as a new home for the Fenrikans, it was rebuilt under the rule of Erik the Red and finished under his son Ragnar to serve as a bastion of defense against Jing and as a stop for traders on their way from the north to Reavesport.
Architecture
Built of Ironwood, its structures are built simple but sturdy with opening slits for archers and platforms surrounding the keep.
Geography
Built on a lone hill in the lower plains of Fenrika, a nearby river is accessable and water is readily available even during a siege.
Natural Resources
an Iron mine, currently unknown to the Fenrikans. A copper mine, with poor output and few workers. Imports hops and barley from farms to turn into ale, growing bees in the nearby farms for honey and honeyed ale is their most traded good.
