Nakor

A weird character our party met on the way to the Mere of Dead men. Both in looks an behaviour he is an oddity:

A vulture like neck, with an interesting head balancing on top. His face seems to be stuck in an eternal small that is contagious. His eyes to always with a happy sparkle, seem to contain a certain dept that is hard to pierce. He is a man of small stature, but large personality. His skin has a dark tone, suited for more desertlike regions. These days wearing a monklike robe that once might have been bright orange, but has faded to an ugly yellowish brown. On his back will always be his backpack that seemingly empty offers an endless supply of mandarines. Now and then some other trinkets might pop out... Next to his walking stick he seems unarmed.

Even unarmed he has proven adept at defending himself. As nimble as any monkey he can dance around attacks as if untouchable. Has performed feats of what should be called magic, but insists there is no such thing as magic, only tricks!

He is rather mysterious, calling himself a liar, but he seems to hold a lot of knowledge. So far he seems a force of good, trusted easily by animals and so far having done no harm. His motivations are unclear though, as he 'moves with the wind'.

So far helped the party a bit navigating the Mere of Dead Men, but then stayed behind in the Mere of the Dead for reasons unknown.

So far he has told them he is over 700 years old, that he is from the far far far South and that his nation has turned to ruins and that even those ruins disappeared. He carried the name of Nakor the Indigo rider, at one point . A name bestowed by an empress whose empire he saved. Next to the name he got fancy indigo robes as well as a black stead who knew no equal. Unfortunately the robes were lost and the horse sadly got sick an passed away. A loss that still seems to grieve the little man.

It is truly hard to say what is true, sharing a watch with Resnalore he told her the following of his past:

He was born in a village, a society where magic was looked upon as a harmful, almost evil thing. Any practicionars were outcasts an oddballs. Even showing interest in study was frowned upon. When thus Nakor became interested in magic when a rare magician visited the region he was cast out of his family and village. All because he refused to give up on studying this magic. It was quickly clear he had a true talent. Even if the visiting magician was by rights not a very good practicioner, the mbers lit in Nakor were plenty to light the spark.

Even if it grieved him, he abandoned his family to follow his dream of gaining more knowledge and becoming a true practicioner and scholar...

What happened between then and now he still didn't divulge. All he did say is tha twhen he returned to his village it had already been abandoned and lost to ruin... He was left alone of his family...
