Asterium Dawn

In the year 1998, in the skies above Cape Cod, the first finger of eternity touched the world. It was a meteor of Asterium, named for the Asterias Seamount where it impacted. Though a small fragment was recovered and studied, the world did not fully realize its significance, at least not right away. This material, a catalyst for eldritch energies, marked the dawn of a new age.
