Vulkinor
The land is control by dozens of clans that all follow a single high king. The high king is decided by the Feast of the Elders where the greatest young warriors battle one another to the death with the clan of the winner becoming the new high king for fifty years.
Regions of Vulkinor
The western portion of Vulkinor is covered in the brutal forest called The Bristles. The Bristles are home gigantic trees that are sharp and tear through clothing and skin. Only the bravest warriors are willing to venture into this forest as beyond the razor sharp needles it is home creatures evolved to deal with this world. Large hard shelled carnivores stalk the shadowy trees that let in little light. Monstrous bears with hides so thick they ignore the spines lurk in the caves. The Valkinir people believe it to be a great honor to have survived for one year in these woods and considered it a right of passage for their greatest warriors.
The eastern region of Vulkinor is a steamy dangerous region covered in lakes and geysers. the south eastern portion of Vulkinor is a land of warm ponds heated by something underneath the earth. Geysers burst forth poisonous water into the sky. While the lands are flat and the soil is rich nothing can grow here and this land remains mostly unpopulated.
The Valkinir people populate the lands in Vulkinor from the Ogdin Hills up towards and all along the Stark River that leads east. The entire society is broke up into clans lead by Chieftains. Some of the clans are small consisting of only one village while other span multiple villages and some of the cities that dot the landscape.
