Minotaurs

Deity: Bren, Deity of Stonemasonry and Building typically.  Some also worship Andores and others Prospera.    Lifespan: In a perfect world 80 - 90 years, but thanks to their rugged lifestyle and value as a military resource means that the actual life span can vary widely.   Procreation: Breeding is something minotaurs are very adept at. A minotaur can breed with another kinfolk and the result would be almost entirely the minotaur as well. Minotaurs are also known to have many different sexual partners, often including creatures of multiple other kinfolks and often within their own clan.   Organization: A disorganized collection of clans, though many have returned to their ancestral homes within the country of Terra Dei.    Language: Common, Kaldur   Appearance: Minotaurs are war come to life. They are hulking creatures that tower over even the tallest of men. Their broad forms are covered from their bovine head down to their hoofed legs with thick hair that can be in a multitude of earthen tones. The males of the species tend to be larger than the females, though all of the species sport massive horns that continue to grow throughout their lives.   Strengths:
  • Monstrous strength
  • Incredible stamina
  • Extreme durability
  • Enhance senses
  Weaknesses
  • Weak against mental manipulation
  • Provokable
  • They have deep ties to their creations, and separation from their creations and clans can leave them highly susceptible to mental illness.
History: For as long as minotaurs have existed they have been at war, often fighting against their own kind. The clans would wage war against one another, the conflicts lasting until one side submitted to the other.    Minotaurs were conquered and stripped of their weapons, and given a new focus.  Their deity was one of stonemasonry and building, and build they could, using their strength to haul wood and stone for new buildings, and their ingenuity to bild stronger, better buildings.    Following the Civil War that spawned Marē, they fell into depression, and their buildings were gone to them.  And thus gone, they turned to the role of shepherds and wide stretches of land within the heart of the country in which to roam. They quickly took to their new roles and eventually found peace thanks to the elves that called the plains home.   It would be the elves that would teach the minotaurs how to harness the boundless rage that burned in their hearts when it had long been the doom of their species.   Following the reuniting of Marē and Terra Dei, they returned to their ancestral homes within Terra Dei, and many joined house Jeonosis, later Creation.    Societal norms/mores:   They have strong social bonds within their clan, and form bonds easily with other kinfolk, save for Orcs.
