Cubus

Lifespan: 200 years, If well fed, upwards of 300-700
Procreation: Very difficult. It involves a ritual and the use of a host. Can only be done once every 50-100 years. Reliant on the energy of the Cubus. If an offspring is wanted, they must take their own essence and pour it into the host, the mode of transference is up to the Cubus, but is usually through sexual contact. The host must be in full control of the cubus, giving their body freely up for use. They are known to create a bond ( known as a Marata) between them and their partners, an almost symbiotic connection. The rate for miscariage is high and the population of Cubus is fairly low because of it. If a target is weak willed, they will crave the Cubus's attention and affections. The more attached, the more energy can be taken, and the higher likelihood an offspring will be carried to term.
Organization: Cubus often are found on their own, only one every few hundred miles, within larger cities. If there are too many in one place, the energies they can siphon are lessened. There is a High Queen, an ancient Succubus, she is said to be descended from Romaled herself and said to be one of the first Cubus in existence, all others descended from her. Because of this, she is also worshiped as a goddess. There is no telling her age. They do not often gather, but when they do it is usually for some large, important event. They can only spend a few days around each other before they start feeling the effects. Most within Mare are one to a city or region. In their human forms, they tend to run Night Houses, employing other types of species similar to that of Terra Dei's Pleasure Houses.
Language: Human languages, can also use touch to convey or understand emotions or desires, often teetering into mind reading.
Appearance: Cubus have two forms, the form of their reality a very domon-like form: Leathery bat-like wings, large horns that grow larger with age, a long, and a forked tail. They also have a human form in which they appear as very good looking representations of the race. Even in human form, they have a larger than average tongue. -The Concubus have the ability to amplify sexuality and the desire for sex through touch.

The Incubus have an extra appendage, the nepenthe, on their penises that attach onto the clitorus and produce a suckling motion to enhance the action of Sex for both them and their partner. It also releases a lubrication for other forms of intercorse.

The Procubus are unique in their ability to be able to feed through intimate, non-sexual physical touch and contact.

-The Succubus have an extra muscle in their pelvic wall to increase pressure and pulses during sex. If they can not get the energy they need they gradually grow to look less and less humanoid and take on more of their alternate forms. These Lesser creatures are no longer considered sentient and grow thin and appear as demonic-like creature thought to invade dreams, causing erotic dreams to feed on while the host is asleep. These are referred to as Withers
Strengths: Highly charming and seductive. Can almost read thoughts or desires through touch. If well fed, a Cubus can produce Pheromones transferred via saliva to further attract a target, or heighten sensation. The more a target it aroused, the more energy can be siphoned. Their refractory period is almost nothing and they can have sex for hours.
Weaknesses: They need to feed on energy (sexual for all species of 'cubi, except for Procubus), if they are not fed, or do not feed at least once a week, they become far more erratic, agitated. Their strength is reduced. Too long around members of their own species causes weakness. They are reliant on their clientele for survival. Being away from people and isolated is bad for them, and they will wither faster.
History: Cubus have a long, sordid history. In most places they are considered demons that lure and prey on the willing for sexual pleasures. Wet Dreams are said to be from an Incubus or a Succubus visiting them. In Mar~e, they are highly prosperous and are accepted in either of their two forms. What they are is known and not hidden and celebrated, their Night Houses frequented often. They can feed off of residual energies of those around them as well.
Societal norms/mores: They are a sex positive race. They are open with their love and lust and comfortable in their bodies. Most take multiple partners, but have their favorites. If they find someone that gives as freely as is taken a bond is formed...the symbiotic relationship can last many many years.
