The Ancients
Group of people who lived in Asphodus before the existence of any other sentient beings.
They worshipped the two gods who created their home, though the names of these gods have been lost to time.
They created powerful artifacts that they scattered in ancient temples all across the land in hopes of hiding them from people who would use them for evil.
Some of these temples seem to be welcoming morally negligent people to take their artifacts, showing a conflict of interest with what their purposes were, or if there were multiple factions within them with different goals.
They showed a proficiency with curse magic and used it often on their artifacts.
