Save Count Barbet: Barbet was actually in league with Novin and had been lying from the beginning along with his right hand man Sir Lemoine. He attempted to take Valeran captive and force his cooperation. The rest of the Golden Hearts got an inkling something wasn't right and snuck in the castle. Barbet was killed in the ensuing struggle.

Count Barbet: Betrays The Golden Hearts after having made a deal with Novin to take over Folke. Also reveals the marauding goliaths are associated with he and Novin. Slaughtered those castle residents who did not agree with his course of action.
