Weatherdeep

Weatherdeep is the seat of the Icarian Empire, the home of Empress Taliah and the center of worship of Ava the Protector Goddess. The city is walled with an inner wall that protects the Emperial Palace and then an outer wall that seperates the Heights from the vast sprawling subarb of what has become known as The Patch.

The Imperial Palace

The Imperial Palace is the home to Empress Taliah and was the home of her father Emperor Gravin before her. It is the seat of all executive power for the Icarian Empire. Empress Taliah sits in court with the nobles of the land and hears the cases that her people bring to her and issues all affairs of state.   Behind the throne is a door that leads to a winding staircase that leads out of the city and deposits its travelers in the wild just to the east of the city. On the 11th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era Grand Artificer Anon brought his Clockwork Legion into the throne room to usurp the throne but the Heroes of Weatherdeep managed to aid the Empress in her escape through this escape route.

The Holy Cathederal

Beyond the outer wall, near the Emperial Palace in the Heights is the Holy Cathederal of Ava. Here all of the preists, clerics and paladins of Ava live and serve their patron goddess. This is also the home of the Grand Priest of Ava Barthem who oversees all the affairs of the faith of Ava.

The Heights of Weatherdeep

Beyond the outer wall of Weatherdeep is the high end part of town where all of the weathly and noble people live called the Heights.  This is the home to Lord Valens, Dinks step-father as well as Grand Artificer Anon.  Along with the people who live in the Heights there are also many high end shops including:
  • Gerad's Smithy
  • High Wall Fine Jewelry ad Gemstones
  • Syrex' Fine Magic Emporium.
On the 11th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era Grand Artificer Anon brought his Clockwork Legion to the Imperial Palace, while simulataneously other Clockwork soldiers began attacking Weatherdeep starting with the Heights.

The Patch

On the outside of the outer wall surrounding the city is a vast sprawling urban complex of houses and shops.  Many of the lower class people who are citizens of Weatherdeep call this place home.  It is called the Patch due to the fact that if one were to stand on the walls of Weatherdeep and look out toward this urban area it would look like a vast patch work of houses and businesses.   Here are a few of the businesses that call the Patch home:
  • The Hungry Ogre Tavern
  • Harn's Smithy
  • The Corner Store Item Shoppe
  • Floren's Clothiers
