Marfallow

Marfallow was a small farming community east of Weatherdeep that provided produce for many in the Icarian Empire.  In 1385 of the Storm Era Marfallow was hit by an exceptionally strong storm that devestated the town.  Many of the villagers left for Weatherdeep and Oxpoint leaving a some of the population behind to rebuild the town.  
In 1388 of the Storm Era, people displaced from the storm a few years before began to return home.  Soon after people started to return to Marfallow, reports started to circulate of those who returned weren't seen from anymore.  Anyone who ventured to Marfallow was not heard from again.
In 1390 of the Storm Era, Empress Taliah ordered a detachment of Icarian Imperial Soldiers to investigate the situation at Marfallow.  The soldiers were not heard from again.
Later that year on the 4th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, Empress Taliah charged the Heroes of Weatherdeep with investigating Marfallow.  On the way to Marfallow the Heroes of Weatherdeep encountered a scouting party of skeletons carrying equipment salvaged from farm equipment.  Later the next day they came upon an abandoned homestead that had been occupied by ghouls and a wight.
On the 7th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, the Heroes of Weatherdeep entered Marfallow and found it abandoned and in poor repair.  That evening a party of skeletons marched through town headed north.  The next morning the Heroes of Weatherdeep found a cemetary that had been completely exhumed and all of the corpses were missing.  
In the hills north of Marfallow the Heroes of Weatherdeep found an excavation site and when they explored the dig they discovered that the undead horde had been tasked to perform the work.  Deep inside they found ancient buried ruins that seem to house a Rue Stone.  However the Rue Stone had been collected already.
