The 3rd of Refrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, The Ruins of the Earth Temple of Ava
The party awakes and the party goes about their morning routines. The party packs up camp and departs. The party heads south with Galad’s help and makes their way toward the road. Along the way Ghesh attempts to make contact with Moloch about how he is doing. Moloch responds with silence.
As the party makes their way through the last of the mountains they stand upon the heights and see the forest before them, and the valley beyond. Milo instantly recognizes his childhood home of Threepost. Dink and Vex make comments about shapes in the clouds. Milo stays silent.
Ghesh looks at his canteen and realizes that he is running out of water. Galad mentions that there is water in Threepost. The party decides to head for Threepost. There is also concern as they are running short of rations. The sun began to go down in the west and the party decided to camp at the base of a small hill in the rolling grasslands. The group realizes that they are almost out of food. Galad and Dink go hunting for food. At first they come across some turkeys but they are scared away by some noise. They continue on and come across a deer. Dink takes a shot but misses. The group came across some more turkeys but another noise spooked the turkeys. Galad and Dink return to camp without anything.
The 4th of Refrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, In the Neverlight Mountains - South of the Ruins of the Earth Temple of Ava
The next morning everyone goes about their daily routines. They begin to break down the camp. Galad and Dink go out and hunt and manage to get three ducks. They return to camp and feed the camp.
The group crosses the road and continues south and finds the ruins of Threepost. Milo is overcome with nostalgia as he enters the town and the
group manages to refill their waterskins and are good for their waterskins.
As the party was preparing to head out, Milo was staring at the ruins of his former childhood home. Eventually the party decides to leave. Milo says goodbye to his former home. The group discusses the storms and if Ava was evil for making the storms. Dink is concerned about Ava’s intentions. Milo tries to make sense of the storms and why they are so destructive. Moloch tries to figure out the timeline of the storms. The party makes the connection that with the desecration of the Earth Temple of Ava how they might spawn Earth Elementals. The group continues to discuss the whereabouts of the remainder of the temples and how they might work together. They try to figure out their next steps.
The party continues on until nightfall and decides to make camp. Galad and Dink go hunting. Dink finds some birds but misses. After a little while they came across some turkeys and Galad and Dink managed to get three turkeys. Moloch and Galad clean the turkeys and make enough food for a day and a half. The party goes to bed.
The 5th of Refrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, On the Road to Eastreach - East of the Ruins of Threepost
The next morning the sun breaks through cloudy skies and the party goes about their morning routine. They travel due east to Eastreach. As they enter town they notice that the village is mostly quiet except it is the encampment of soldiers. As the group tries to make sense of what is going on, Milo approaches the command tent where Captain Bronn Stonefist is. The party follows.
Captain Bronn Stonefist tells Milo that they had lost all communications with Weatherdeep and the party tells Captain Bronn Stonefist the history of what happened. Captain Bronn Stonefist tells them they are hunting Velryn and they command Milo to join them. Stonefist tells them to see the quartermaster who gives them rations, torches and a healing potion. Vex attempts to enter the tent but is seen by the quartermaster, and then the party returns to the barracks (tavern) to get rest but Vex decides to sneak into the quartermaster's tent. Vex decides to return to the quartermaster's tent to try and steal stuff, but opening one of the crates he makes a squeaking noise and a guard comes to see what is going on. Vex hides under a tarp and manages to elude the guard. When the guard leaves he exits the tent and returns to the party.
The party all are put into the barracks with the soldiers.
The party goes to sleep.
The 6th of Refrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, Eastreach
The next morning the party was awoken by the musical call of the military where all of the soldiers were roused and prepared for the morning. When the party made it to the street they found the soldiers all standing at attention. Captain Bronn Stonefist gives a speech about Velryn.
"Listen up, soldiers! Today, we march from the heart of Elfalas into a battle unlike any we’ve faced before.
