Journal - Session 16 - That was shocking!

General Summary

The 19th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, Patty’s Tavern in Oxpoint

The party began to eat, Vex was a messy eater and Milo accidentally broke wind after eating a whole bowl of beans. The party discussed the construct army and whether they would come to Oxpoint, they agreed to warn the townspeople and the village leadership. Ghesh and Dink discussed training with the spear, Moloch offered to help train others in the ways of martial arts. Galad retired for the evening, the remainder of the group retired soon afterwards except for Dink and Ghesh who went outside to train with the spear. After a little while Dink and Ghesh retire as well. 
The 20th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, Patty’s Tavern in Oxpoint
The next morning the group wakes up and goes about their normal morning routines.

Ghesh and Dink go to visit Mayor Fharwell. They go to the town hall and meet with the Mayor, a woman named Maryn Fharwell. They warn her of the threat and the fall of Weatherdeep.
They return to the party in the tavern and get the remainder of the party and then they leave town. They head south for about three hours and notice that the storm has turned and seems like it’s headed their way. After another three hours the party saw a group of travelers in the distance headed their way. At just about the same time Dink felt a raindrop on the back of his neck.

The Battle of the Open Road

• Ghesh advances on the constructs
• Moloch advances on the constructs
• Milo casts Cloud of Daggers on the first four Construct Soldiers
• Due to the Cloud of Daggers the four Construct Soldiers take 12 damage each. The Construct Soldiers adopted a defensive formation and they began to repair themselves. All 4 damaged Soldiers repair 7 HP of damage and two adjacent Soldiers repair the remainder of Construct Soldier 3 and Construct Soldier 4 HP.
• Galad advances on the constructs.
• Kobo advances on the constructs.
• Dink takes a shot at Construct Archer 1 but misses.
• Vex advances on the constructs.
• Construct Archer 1 uses multi-shot hitting Ghesh and Moloch, Ghesh takes 7 damage. Moloch deflects the arrow and attempts to send it back but misses his target.
• Construct Archer 2 attacks Ghesh but misses.
• Construct Archer 3 attacks Milo and deals him 9 damage.
• Construct Archer 4 attacks Dink and deals him 10 damage.

At the top of the initiative as the storm intensifies elementals began to form from the storm and all of the constructs including Kobo began to spasm and short circuit and stop functioning, they all fall prone.

• Ghesh casts Sacred Sword.
• Moloch advances on Lesser Air Elemental 2 and uses Flurry of Blows hitting it once dealing 5 damage.
• The Lesser Water Elementals attack the Construct Soldiers and Ghesh, they deal 7 damage to the Construct Archer 3 and 14 damage to Construct Soldier 5, they miss Ghesh.
• Milo casts Magic Missile against Lesser Air Elemental 1 dealing it 11 damage.
• The lesser Air Elementals attack the Construct Soldiers dealing 21 damage to Construct Soldier 6 and 14 damage to Construct Soldier 5. Lesser Air Elemental 1 attacks Milo, but Milo casts Shield and the Lesser Air Elemental misses.
• Galad attacks Lesser Water Elemental 2 but misses twice.
• Dink casts a Sanctuary spell on Milo.
• Dink shoots Lesser Air Elemental 1 but misses.
• Vex advances on Lesser Air Elemental 1 and attacks it but misses both times.
• Ghesh attacks Lesser Water Elemental 2 and hits it, dealing 9 damage.
• Moloch attacks Construct Soldier 1 dealing it 18 damage
• The Lesser Water Elementals continue to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying Construct Soldier 3 and dealing 7 damage to Construct Archer 1. Lesser Water Elemental 2 attacked Ghesh twice but missed.
• Milo successfully disengages from combat with Lesser Air Elemental 1 dealing 9 damage.
• The Lesser Air Elementals continue to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying Construct Soldier 5 and 6. Lesser Air Elemental 1 attacks Vex twice but misses both times.
• Galad attacks the Lesser Water Elemental twice, critically hitting it, dealing 23 damage.
• The Lesser Water Elementals continue to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying Construct Soldier 5 and destroying Construct Archer 1. Lesser Water Elemental 2 uses Whelm and Galad and Ghesh succeed their saving throws and are pushed back. Galad is thrown from his mount and knocked prone.
• Milo casts True Strike on himself.
• The Lesser Air Elementals continue to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying Construct Soldier 4 and 7. Lesser Air Elemental 1 attacks Vex twice but misses.
• Dink takes a shot at the Lesser Air Elemental 2 and deals it 14 damage. He then moves toward Milo and casts a quicked Cure Wounds healing 7 hit points.
• Vex attacks the Lesser Air Elemental 2 twice and hits twice dealing 13 damage destroying it.
• Ghesh advances on the Lesser Water Elemental 2 missing it.
• Moloch uses Flurry of Blows missing once and dealing 12 damage destroying Construct Soldier 4.
• Galad stands up and regains control of his horse.
• The Lesser Water Elementals continue to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying Construct Soldier 7 and dealing Construct Archer 1 14 damage.The Lesser Water Elemental 2 attacks Ghesh twice missing once dealing him 5 damage.
• Milo advances on the Construct Soldiers but Galad warns Milo not to attack them. Milo disengages
• The Air Elementals continue to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying them both.
• Dink attacks Lesser Air Elemental 2 and hits it dealing 15 damage.
• Vex advances on Construct Archer 2 and hits it twice dealing 15 damage.
• Ghesh attacks Lesser Water Elemental 2 hitting it, dealing it 28 damage killing it.
• Moloch attacks Construct Soldier 8 for 5 damage.
• Galad mounts his horse and says “Leave the Elementals be, they will destroy the remaining constructs, lets move to a safe distance”
• Lesser Water Elemental 3 attacks Vex twice but misses. Lesser Water Elemental 1 attacks Vex twice and hits once dealing 7 damage.
• Milo moves toward Kobo and asks him if he would assist in moving him. Galad agrees.
• Lesser Air Elemental 1 attacks Molochs War Horse dealing it 18 damage. The other Lesser Air Elemental continues to attack the Construct Soldiers destroying Construct Soldier 8.
• Dink advances on Kobo’s position but takes a shot at the Lesser Air Elemental 1 attacking Moloch’s horse dealing 13 damage.
• Vex disengages from the two Lesser Water Elementals attacking him.
• Ghesh engages the Lesser Air Elemental 1 dealing 8 damage.
• Moloch advances on the Lesser Air Elemental 1 attacking his warhorse hitting it, dealing 7 damage destroying it.
• The Lesser Water Elementals began to attack the nearby Construct Soldiers.
• Milo and Galad grab Kobo and drag him away from the battle.
• Vex moves away from the battle.
• Ghesh moves away from the battle.
• Moloch jumps toward the Construct Archer 3 and attacks for 9 damage. Moloch's horse retreats from the battle.
• Galad mounts his horse and moves away from the battle.
• Milo mounts his horse and stays put.
• The Lesser Air Elemental moves toward the Construct Archer 4 and begins to attack it.
• Dink shoots at Lesser Water Elemental 2 and misses.
• Vex yells for Moloch to come rejoin the party.
• Ghesh stays put
• Moloch attacks Construct Archer 3 and attacks for 12 damage.
• Galad stays put.
• The Lesser Water Elementals advance on the Construct Archers and attack.
• Milo moves away from the battle.
• Dink shoots at Lesser Water Elemental but misses.
• Vex stays put.
• Ghesh stays put.
• Moloch jumps away from the battle leaving the Lesser Water Elementals to continue to attack the remaining archer.

The Lesser Water Elementals destroy the remaining Construct Archer and turn to advance on the party but the storm ends and they dissipate. After the storm ends Kobo returns from his normal self and is no longer incapacitated. Ghesh uses Laying on Hands on Moloch’s horse and heals. Dink collected the Glowstone from the destroyed constructs on the road. The party takes a short rest to eat and take a short break. They discuss what caused the constructs to fail during the storm. They talked about the Glowstone being affected by the storms. The party continues south and makes it to Centercross without event.
