Journal - Session 10 - Where Do We Go From Here!?

General Summary


The 11th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, Outside of Weatherdeep beyond the walls to the East   The party regroups outside the tunnel and finds a chest with tents and rations used as an emergency. The party distributes these supplies and then proceeds into the wilds to get away from any constructs that might be still coming out of the tunnel.   The party heads east for several hours and finds a suitable place for a camp. Everyone begins to set up tents and Galad gathers some firewood for a fire. The party breaks out rations and begins to eat for the day.  The party talks with Galad and seeks an explanation. He talks about his history with Amaranth and the ship wreck and the other side of the cloud wall. Then the party learns the purpose of the Rue Stones, perhaps that they keep the storm at bay.   The party decides to make for the Grand Stormwatch Citadel and sleeps for the evening.   The 12th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, In the Hills several miles to the East of Weatherdeep   In the morning the party awakes and breaks camp. The party heads north toward the Citadel and after many hours reach a road that heads north.  Galad examined the road and found that some constructs may have come through the road. The party decides to get on the road and try to overtake the constructs if possible.  The party asks Galad to scout ahead and him and Sabre scout ahead. After a while they catch up to Galad who is waiting on the side of the road. Galad tells the party that up ahead about a mile there are constructs.   Getting close to night the party decides to exit the road and go about a quarter of a mile into the wilderness and make camp. The party discusses the party of constructs and whether they will catch them or what their purpose is, just 6 of them. The party goes to sleep.   The 13th of Serrum, 1390 of the Storm Era, On the Road to the Grimwood several miles to the Northeast of Weatherdeep   The night goes without event and the party awakes in the morning. Galad and Moloch went to the road and found nothing changed. Moloch returned to camp to get the rest of the party   Battle of the Road  
  • Dink goes first and gives Kobo Heroism
  • Kobo advances on the constructs and then runs a little closer again.
  • Milo moves and then casts Magic Missile dealing 6 damage to C2 and 2 damage C1.
  • Vex dashes forwards and attacks with a sneak attack dealing 21 damage to C2 completely destroying it.
  • Ghesh moves forward channeling sacred weapon.
  • Moloch dashes forwards and attacks C1 dealing 8 damage. He also activates Patient Defense granting him a dodge on the next turn.
  • Galad dashes forward running toward the battle.
  • Two of the constructs advance on Moloch then attack twice each only one hit dealing 6 damage.
  • Two of the constructs advance on Vex then attack him three times dealing 18 damage.
  • Another archer construct comes over the hill and fires multi-shot, the shot against Vex misses and Kobo misses. One shot hits Moloch but he catches it in mid-air and sends it back to the archer construct, hitting it, dealing 6 damage.
  • Kobo moves forward to deflect attacks coming in from the upcoming enemies.
  • Dink advances forward and using his crossbow takes a shot at the archer construct. He hits critically dealing 18 damage.
  • Milo casts magic missile one into the archer dealing 4 damage, and 2 damage into C5 and 4 damage into C4
  • Vex attacked the nearest twice but missed.
  • Ghesh attacked C5 hitting it, dealing 14 damage.
  • Moloch then used Flurry of Blows missing twice but the third hit and dealt 9 damage.
  • Galad runs to catch up to the party and barely catches up with them.
  • C1 attacks Moloch twice but misses, C3 attacks Kobo but misses, C4 attacks Kobo but misses, C6 attacks Ghesh and critically hits him dealing 17 damage.
  • Kobo takes a dodge action.
  • Dink uses his crossbow and takes a shot but misses C1.
  • Milo casts acid splash hitting C4 and C5 dealing damage to each and destroying C6.
  • Vex attacks twice missing with his scimitar but hitting with his rapier dealing 5 damage destroying C5
  • Ghesh moves to flank the remaining two constructs and uses Divine Smite but misses.
  • Moloch uses his last ki point for Flurry of Blows, missing twice but critically hitting the construct dealing 13 damage destroying it.
  • Galad enters the battle and deals 22 damage to the final construct, destroying it.
  After the battle the group discusses the party of constructs and if they were still in any danger.
