Her purple eyes and dark complexion are dead giveaways of her foreign identity. She hides her identity with entire skin coverage.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Biggest Formative Memories: The first time Sir Guiscard took her to visit the library in Navis Roche, which opened her curiosity. There, she met a Nun, Sister Astrid, who was more than happy to teach Nopre’om about philosophy, geography, and the character of Elyon. Not everything Astrid said was in alignment with what Sir Guiscard taught.
Employment
Squire of the Order of the Martyr.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Greatest Success: Conspiring with other brothers and Sister Astrid to afford her master a new set of chainmail.
Failures & Embarrassments
Greatest Failure: Dropping said chainmail off the side of Navis Roche (the islands magnetism pulled the heavy suit into a narrow crevice and it has never been seen again). This event has only added to Nopre’om’s fear of heights.
Personality Characteristics
Likes & Dislikes
Likes: Meeting foreigners and hearing their tales. The fields of lumistone in Vachelous.
Dislikes: Too much training. Dried beef. The oath of silence. Heights.
Virtues & Personality perks
Strengths: Loyal, optimistic, cares a lot about doing what’s right.
Vices & Personality flaws
Fears: Failing the Order, her Master and therefore Elyon. Is afraid of admitting she’s curious about life outside the monastery system.
Weaknesses: Overly curious. Having no parental figures and growing up needing to hide her foreign identity left a scar of loneliness. Her curious nature often conflicts with the rigorous teachings of the Order and leads her to poke things without thinking.
Character Flaws: She is very insecure because of the conflict within her, she feels caught between pleasing her masters (whom she owes a life debt) and wanting to leave to explore and help the world. She tells herself after being purified through the initiation of knighthood, her private selfish dreams will disappear. Nonetheless, she is very curious and tends to poke things that spark interest, often without thinking.
Personality Quirks
Idiosyncrasies: Very friendly to strangers in an endless quest for friends.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Squire to Sir Guiscard.
Various brothers and sisters within the Order.
Nichole.
Family Ties
Biological parents unknown.
Religious Views
Religion Name: Diematism (pronounced dee-mah-tism)
Beliefs about the Existence of God: Believes that Elyon is the Supreme Creator and that the Pale is Elyon’s sworn enemy.
Beliefs about the Character of God: She believes that because Elyon took compassion on her life He must also have love for other non-humans. But she also stands by the Order’s doctrine of suffering, that it is the only way to purify the soul and Elyon bestows it upon those who He loves (so she thinks becoming a knight and denying her passions is suffering and attracting His love).
Beliefs about the Work of God: As once said by Sir Robert du Vois, the second Grand Master of the Order “The Borax Uldek is our monastery walls. We no longer have any focus but to gaze at our opponent, and purpose to defeat it.” Only those who walk in humility are close to Elyon. He must have found Ashnew as an ideal candidate to defeat Pale, and thus, allowed the Borax Uldek to be made.

Nichole sees mostly fear and loneliness, knowing she was abandoned at Guiscard's door. She also sees Guiscard fighting to keep her in the Order. Fear of failing Guiscard and ending up alone. [Guiscard's fighting consisted of] verbally [fighting] with some elders...but definitely hard training so she'll meet the standards. Her doing not so well in letting go of her curiosity is what led to the Vow of Silence. -SquirewalkerRemove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
