Personal history

From an early age Haku saw himself as a leader and more gifted than others. It was confirmed in his mind that he was destined for something greater when his wings sprouted and it was revealed that he would be a white one. He trained almost non-ceasing in flight, languages, and cultivation in his teen years to the point where he qualified for all three branches. He set his sights on the Storm Heralds however believing it to be the destiny with the most potential to make an impact.
On return from his first assignment was when he met Abiru and was almost instantly charmed by something he could not place. Inquiring further into who she was and finding her well known for her talents and diligence he determined that his affection with her was well founded and so begun to pursue in the hopes that she would find him charming as well. Thankfully she did.
Traveling the with an breath of Ashnuw many times he would often get in trouble merely because he was the type of person that needed a why behind a rule and if he thought that wasn’t a good reason or there was a better way he tended to ignore it.
In 1700 Abiru was taken by a storm, sending him into a brief bout of depression and making him temporarily work as a hurricane so he had people around him at all times. This subsequently allowed him to witness the devastation of Kokka and he set out to confirm a hunch of his on the source. Returning after pushing through the night left him carless and he was downed by the Deto Chenyoel. Due to his coloring however and the information he was trying to deliver right before he died made the deto rethink killing him outright in favor for questioning.
Their subsequent conversation led to the Three Peoples Concord where the remnants of the Jin and the Salmenduel met with the Tengu for the first time in history. Over the course of the next few months he took a major part in the politics, negotiation, and strategizing becoming the Right Hand of the Voice.
He was allowed to attend the Kingdom Meeting at Broostwater barely survived in the subsequent take over. Soon after reuniting with Abiru he proposed and happily she agreed but of course there is still much work to be done in the world.

Mental Trauma

He is very grieved by injustice and evil and will go stir crazy if he is not working towards fixing the problem.
Of course the loss of his love and the destruction of Kokka was hard and will never not effect him, but hardship drives him to action more often than grief. Thus he seems close to immune from ‘trauma’.

Motivation

He wants to make the world stronger and better, to fix the misunderstandings particularly held by Kokka and reunite the world. He wants to attain the highest position in the Storm Heralds that of the Voice of the Tempest, and go down in history for his accomplishments. Abiru’s existence gave him the desire to get married someday and raise at least three children with her as well as to ensure she could pursue her dreams as well. Ultimately all these were motivated by a desire to further understanding and love of Elyon but he is so driven that he can come across as selfish and arrogant.
