The survivors--A band of four Martyrs, Ananias, Beakerson, Sukoshi, Tovian, Maki and an unconscious Squire wait in the cave, preparing for their raid on Adventurer's Outpost the next day.

Commando Chipmunk08/28/2019 Maki comes in the cave, having half listened to everyone earlier from the outside, as well as gaining more information from Tovian on what happened. Frowns a little at the cave ceiling at thoughts of waiting 'til morning....

Commando Chipmunk08/28/2019 Maki starts a little, eyes wounded. "Not...well...or anything..." she mutters.
ThatGuyOverThere08/28/2019 "I see." He pauses for a moment, thinking. "You mentioned someone named Simab? You said I almost killed him right?"

ThatGuyOverThere08/28/2019 "I offer my deepest apologies to the incident. But I can assure you I am no longer that man you encountered before."
Commando Chipmunk08/28/2019 Maki sniffs-sighs, glancing up at him. "If Beakerson says you're okay, I guess you're...okay...." Scuffs at ground with her toe, looking anxious. "I might have to know you longer to really believe it myself though."

Commando Chipmunk08/28/2019 Maki: interest glints a little in eyes. "What....what happened to you anyway? "You do seem different than when I saw you...I didn't see you long, but still...you killed that prisoner."
ThatGuyOverThere08/28/2019 "I was sent to take out Dr. Beakerson and take his power stones to my master. Though my memory had been erased, Barney helped me to remember who I was....to see Elyons light again....and get me back on track. Though a lot of my memories have yet to return. Barney here has been helping me out as much as he can to remember my life before becoming an assassin."

Unfortunately all I remember of my youth is my friendship with Barney. It's what helped me to snap out of my killer ways and start a new life."

ThatGuyOverThere08/28/2019 "I get that a lot. Partly why I became a Monk, so that people might look forward to seeing my face instead of being so terrified of it. But I do recall that mission now. I remember fighting several of you including Xkoll and Simab. He survived right? Simab?"
Commando Chipmunk08/28/2019 Maki: nods quickly. "Yes, he recovered." Smiles. "We have a good healer...and he's pretty tough. It was scary though. " Eyes dim. "Do you remember...why you had to go on that mission?" Awkwardly.
ThatGuyOverThere08/28/2019 Ananias thinks for a moment. "I believe it was to silence the prisoner before exposing the men who kidnapped me. They were a secret organization that had deep ties in government and royal affairs. I am glad to hear your friend survived the ordeal. Not a day goes by that I don't feel regret for my actions. I have to live with that for the rest of my life."
