Trasta, Mother of Angels

Trasta is one of the oldest deities there is, existing at the beginning of the creation of the material plane and given power over all celestial beings, which is where her title of Mother of Angels comes from. Known to be kind, motherly, and nurturing, she was beloved by all. All but one…
Trasta now resides back in the celestial realms after many tragic events and oversees heavenly beings. Her duties lie in tending to those of celestial heritage whether that be the full celestial beings such as gods and angels, or the divine touched in the realms below. All are in one way or another considered children under her domain and are seen under her watchful eye even if she does not directly interfere. Any who encounters the goddess knows her to be warm, kind, and soft-spoken but not one of weak will or stature. Instead, she is a mother with wisdom, experience, and tender care behind her guidance to those who follow her.
The goddess has been known to find companionship with mortals and birth children, minor demi-gods that were inclined after her own nature. They were often hailed as peacemakers, bringers of hope, and mighty warriors for the cause of justice. But, one of these children in a very long bygone age and the most recent in her lineage at that time did not follow suit with his brethren. This child would end up exploring the Shadowfell and other dark planes and magics until his divine nature had been traded for shadow. He was driven mad by it, and darker gods and beings used this to whisper to him a plot to make his mother fall.
Going out on his own, this child killed one of his brethren and Trasta was charged with punishing him for it. He was stripped of his status and made to be purely mortal and to live a mortal life. But the dark beings seeking to bring her down used this, whispering to the gods and turning them slowly against her. For how could the mother of angels be truly loving and kind if she could do this to her own son?
And so she was punished soon after, a gathering of the stronger gods who had been influenced striking her down with her own punishment. She too was to live a mortal life, remembering nothing of the heavens or herself until she breathed her last mortal breath. So she was struck down and removed from above. But oh how this shook the heavenly beings. Celestials across the realms mourning her loss and watching her from a distance, not allowed to intervene.
The tale of her mortal life is long and tragic. But the main events were when her son found her as a mortal child and used unspeakable methods for his revenge. Eventually she was freed, joining up with a cause of conquest and becoming a force of war, only to leave that life when her lover was slain. For a time she was even a pirate, ravaging the seas, until she finally found peace and home in a tiny hidden magical cove where she lived out the rest of her mortal days training young adventurers, but only after more tragedy in the discovery of her past through tales and the revelation of the dark plot against her to the gods who eventually sought out her forgiveness.
