Rene Keep
The water was calm and crystal clear. Turtles could be seen swimming lazily along the reefs. Small children gasped and called out to their parents, but they were distracted. Watching their leaders make the trip to the Ivory shores. A faint breeze swept through the air, filling their lungs with the smell of salt. A red-scaled, clawed foot stepped onto the white sandy shores as the tall dragon born looked back at his people on a boat and called out to them, "Here. Here we can be safe. Here we can prosper. My people. Welcome, to Rene Keep."
In the aftermath of The Great Death, the lands were thrown into chaos as the inhabitants grappled with the consequences of their actions. The Dragons had gone into hiding, blending into society in unprecedented ways to avoid being detected. However, fear and distrust ran through communities, and villagers chased off Dragonborn, fearful that their draconic heritage could create a smaller-scale cataclysmic event. Being forced from their homes, a group of Dragonborn began searching for a safe place for their people, eventually discovering an island capable of sustaining them. Andrell Keeve, a red-scaled Dragonborn, and his partner Rianne Keeve, a silver Dragonborn, led their family and a clutch of other dragonborn to an island off the shores of Owl's Crest. They established themselves as the rulers of their people and the island. However, during an expedition to develop trade with Rene Keep on the mainland, Andrell was fatally injured. Rianne had to take over as the leader and established a monarchy on Rene Keep, with strict lockdown measures on the island. Citizens are not allowed to leave without permission, and those who do may be unable to return. Throughout the centuries, all the kingdoms on the continent have relinquished their monarchal claims-except for Rene Keep. The reigning monarch of Rene Keep is LLavarsa, the oldest and only known remaining royalty in Ashirma. She is a female dragonborn, rumored to have a unique white flame as her breath weapon. No one has ever dared to challenge her rule. Whispers circulate among the populace regarding the restlessness of the queen's offspring. A few desire to claim the throne, while others worry about the welfare of their constituents, and some are prepared to stir up chaos within their community.
