Arner Dolluck
Arner Dolluck Prime Minister of Arakhor, leader of the rebellion against the Grigyr bloodline and Archive Guardian of the Talons Thieves Guild. Council of IX member
Former Bearer of mask III ~ Deceased
Description
He was described as a rather alluring figure, attractive and charming, but with some rather glaring deformities. He was of infernal heritage, his horns looking more like cracked Amethyst stones rather than the usual symmetrical horns of most Teiflings. His left hand had a similar appearance but takes the form of a massive Amethyst talon. Despite his appearance, however, he appeared to have no shame in his differences. He even went as far as to accentuate their aggressive visage with his clothing and music. Outside of his eccentricities, Arner was a man of principle, following the creed of his nation and Guild to the very letter. That didn't stop him from looking for a new thrill or some chaos to spread, but all for the fun and enjoyment of those around him. Much to the chagrin of his fellow councilors in the Council of 9, they are not exceptions to his tomfoolery.Origins
Little is known of his parentage or origin. What is known however is that he was far older than most would expect. He’d made claims of being involved in events and happenings long past, describing them in great detail. He himself had been a member of the Talons Thieves Guild for most of his youth and adult life, which made his claims all the more strange. The most distinct time that can be recorded of Arner is the rebellion against Grygir the Grim (see Arakhor: A People of Stories and Thieves for reference). In the aftermath of this skirmish, the rumors reached his ears of an item of power deep within the bowels of Grygir's keep. A mask. The allure of this did not leave him in peace, and so he set off alone to go and find it. If this action was wise or unwise, who is to say? Perhaps luck was simply looking out for the younger Arner. But it is said that he took on one of the most insane, deadly, and treacherous dungeons known to date. Facing foes and dangers not seen since. Death nearly came for him twice, and once he had faced down the king of the dungeon's monsters, there it was. The mask of power waiting and calling to him. And so his place on the council was made.Personality & Activity
He was an avid supporter of the arts, going out of his way to support those in his nation to gain their footing and find their voice in music and in life. He’s was also rather fond of the younger generations, believing their success is the success of their society and the cultural impact of Ashirma as a whole. He had taken in a number of youths over the years, providing them with room and board as well as food until their place is found. Philanthropic, charismatic, and more importantly compassionate, those who met this man always found a good story and aid in their endeavors and much as he was able. In this year of spring, Arner passed away on the eve of the season's coming. The hidden age had finally taken its toll, and in his sleep he found his final rest. The nation has mourned his passing and his memory lives on far beyond him. What remains of his mask though, that is known only to the deceased.
