Primeval Arrow
Spell Lists: Druid, Ranger
3rd-level Conjuration
Casting Time: 1 Bonus action
Range: self
Component: V, S
Duration: up to 1 minute
When you cast this spell, choose one of the following forms: Elephant, Falcon or Tiger. Your choice determines the effects of this spell as described below. The next time you make a ranged weapon attack during the spell's duration, the weapon's ammunition, or the weapon itself if it's a thrown weapon, is surrounded by the glowing translucent form of the animal that you choose. If you cast another spell that functions as "the next time you make an attack roll do x", this spell fades away upon casting the second spell. Make the attack roll as normal, unless you chose the Falcon form (see below). Regardless of the form you chose, the target takes 3d8 force damage on a hit, or half as much damage on a miss, instead of the weapon's normal damage.
- Elephant. Whether you hit or miss, the target and each creature within 5 feet of it must make a Strength saving throw. Each of these creatures takes 2d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone on a failed save, or half as much and isn't knocked prone on a successful one.
- Falcon. You have advantage on the attack roll, and the attack ignores half cover and three quarters cover. Any creature in the line between you and the target of the attack must make a Dexterity saving thrown. Creatures take 2d4 piercing damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful save.
- Tiger. Whether you hit or miss, the target and each creature within 10 feet of it must make a Dexterity saving throw. Each of these creatures tales 2d10 slashing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The Glowing form that surrounds the piece of ammunition or weapon then fades away.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage of the attack increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd, and the damage of each different effect increases by 1d6, 1d4, and 1d10 respectively for each slot above 3rd.
