This spell must be cast under the light of the moon. You manifest a sickle of solidified moonlight in your hand. This magic sickle lasts until the spell ends. It counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 2d12 radiant damage on a hit and has the finesse and light properties. Targets are also exposed to radiant damage dealt by this weapon.

When you hit a creature with this weapon and that creature is not reduced to 0 hit points by the attack, the spell's damage dice decrease by one size category: from a d12 to d10, then to a d8, d6, and finally d4. If the dice are already d4 and would be reduced, the spell ends. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with the weapon, increase the die size by one category, not exceeding d12.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the weapon deals one additional die of damage for every two slot levels above 1st.
