You cause a deating mote of moon light to descend on a creature you can see within range. The target must succeed on a constitution saving throw or take 1d8 radiant damage

If you target the a creature who is a shapechanger, the damage die becomes a d12, and the creature has disadvantage on saves against effects that would change its form.

At Higher Levels. This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level(2d8), 11th level (3d8), and again at 17th level (4d8).
