HearthGuard
Where thou art, that is home. Hearthguards bring rest and recuperation to even the harshest of battlefields, with the help of the sacred spirits that defend the hearth.
Touch of Hearth and Home
When you make this covenant at 3rd level, you swear to defend the hearth and its spirits as a living embodiment of warmth and wonder. As an action, you can touch a creature and expend and roll a number of focus dice up to your proficiency bonus. That creature regains hit points equal to the result of the roll + your Charisma modifier.
Spirits’ Aid
Also at 3rd level, whenever you Help a creature, that creature can roll a d4 and add the result to the roll.
Sanctuary Hearth
Starting at 6th level, during a short or long rest you can call on the spirits of the hearth to protect your camp. At the start of the rest, you touch a point in space, and an invisible, 30-foot-radius sphere of magic appears, centered on that point. Total cover blocks the sphere.
While within the sphere, you and your allies gain a +5 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) and Wisdom (Perception) checks, and any light from open flames in the sphere (a campfire, torches, or the like) isn’t visible outside it. The sphere vanishes at the end of the rest or when you leave the sphere.
Flaming Interdiction
Also at 6th level, you can invoke the flames of the hearth to harm enemies and heal allies. When you choose to recklessly defend allies within the radius of your Timely Aid feature, you can expend and roll any number of focus dice. Choose help or harm for each creature in that radius. Each creature you choose to help regains hit points equal to the result, and each creature you choose to harm takes fire damage equal to the result. You can use this feature twice, and ex- pended uses are regained at the end of a short or long rest.
Greater Aid
Starting at 13th level, when you grant a bonus using your Spirits’ Aid feature, you can increase the size of the die to the same size as your focus die. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and expended uses are regained at the end of a long rest.
Spiritual Focus
The spirits of the hearth enhance your focus. Starting at 17th level, you may choose to roll 3d4 instead of 1d12 for each focus die you expend.
