Telekinesis

Effect

You wield raw magical force to move, manipulate, or strike a creature or object.  Mages may give advanced forms of this spell more colorful names, such as:
  • Clutch of the Dragon (Strike, Range, Empowered)
  • Repulsion (Strike, Blast, Close Combat)
  • Tirius' Grasp (Move, Range)

    Concentration: No
    Skill: War Magic
    Range: Short (not Engaged)
    Effect: Bludgeoning damage (equal to caster's Intellect + 1 per uncancelled Success) with a Critical rating of 5. If the spell hits, the caster may spend 1 Advantage to move the target up to one range band in any direction.
  • Move: You may manipulate or move an object within range as if your Brawn were equal to your Intellect. You may use this ability to wield a weapon, but if you do, add +1 to the Difficulty. To manipulate an unwilling creature, you must make a Knowledge (Thaumaturgy) check opposed by its Brawl skill.

  • Move: Instead of the spell's normal effects, the caster may manipulate or move an object within range as if their Brawn were equal to their Intellect. This may be used to wield a weapon, but all combat checks made in this way increase their Difficulty by +1. To manipulate an unwilling creature, the caster must make a Knowledge (Thaumaturgy) check opposed by the target's Brawl skill.
  • Blast: The spell gains the Blast quality with a rating equal to the caster's ranks in Knowledge (Thaumaturgy).
  • Close Combat: May select a target engaged with the caster.
  • Range: Increase the range of the spell by one range band. This may be added multiple times, increasing the range by one range band each time.
  • Volley: The spell gains the Auto-Fire quality.
  • Empowered: The spell deals damage equal to twice the caster's Intellect + 1 per uncancelled Success. If the spell has the Blast quality, it affects all characters within short range, instead of engaged.
