Soul Speak

Soul Speak is a mystical form of communication used primarily by the Wraithborn and other beings connected to the spiritual or undead planes.

It transcends the limitations of physical language, relying on the soul as the medium for communication.

This ability allows a being with a soul to directly convey their intentions to another, bypassing the need for words, gestures, or even common understanding of language.

Description:

When a Wraithborn or other beings capable of Soul Speak wish to communicate, they project their intended message directly into the listener’s soul.

The listener receives the message as though it were spoken in their native tongue, allowing for perfect understanding.

This means that no matter the language barrier, the communication is always flawless, as it bypasses physical speech altogether.

Soul Speak can be used to convey emotions, ideas, or even more abstract concepts—depending on the intent of the speaker.

The message is always clear and unambiguous, and because it communicates through the essence of a being, there is an inherent empathy in the exchange.

The listener doesn’t just hear the message; they feel it, sometimes even experiencing the speaker’s emotions or intentions more deeply than a normal conversation would allow.

Mechanics:

• Range: Soul Speak can occur over any distance, provided both the speaker and the listener have souls that can be linked in this way.
  
  It works even if the individuals are separated by walls, doors, or other physical barriers, as the communication occurs on a spiritual level.
• Languages: When a creature with the ability to use Soul Speak communicates, the listener understands the message in their native language or the most familiar language they know.
  
  This does not allow the listener to learn new languages, nor does it provide understanding of written languages, ancient scripts, or other non-communicative forms of writing or recording.
• Direct Communication Only: Soul Speak only works for direct, immediate communication.
  
  It does not extend to the understanding of written words, recorded messages, or other forms of communication like telepathy that are not active, direct exchanges of soul-to-soul information.
• Emotional Undertone: Communication via Soul Speak often carries emotional weight.
