Arachnid Invaders
Creatures heralding from the seas of the Land of Song, they are capable of spewing a blue mist forth that contaminates any liquid it touches and upon being inhaled puts the unfortunate soul who did so into a deep sleep in which they experience another world and can communicate with the others in such a state. Their mind conjures up resons for anything out of palce, and ensnares the target in a beautiful world while a cocoon is woven about them and they are set aside.

Anatomy
Four limbs to begin with, though the Soldier class gains the limbs of its host creature.
An ability to breathe and thrive underwater.
Genetics and Reproduction
Birthed by mother spiders, the exact process is unknown, with the few details that are available poiting towards an incredibly short gestation period that should lead to an exponential increase in the invaders presence. The creatures seem to simply cease spawning more of their kind after a point, sending scouts out to bring back prey and then going through bouts of extreme production once again. None of the spawn have shown capabilities of reproduction.
Growth Rate & Stages
The creatures spawn live from within the mother spider and must excavate their way to the surface. Upon birth they are between the size of a finger and the size of an arm, and remain that way until prey is brought to them and they can feast. At this point they rapidly surge in size and capabiltiy into one of three roles: Soldier, Slaver, and Weaver.
Ecology and Habitats
The creatures seem to prefer dark and isolated locations, whether those are found naturally, or made isolated after an invasion. Typically found in forests, caves, or underwater.
