Nl'thath, born in the komodo colony of the volcanic Mn'tnt Mountain Range, didn't like the prospect of continuing to live in the dark, stale air of the ancient pyroducts and surviving on scavenged goods from the surrounding forests. Being unsatisfied with her surroundings, she left in search of others at the age of 45, taking her far east, to the human-populated city of Tulanne, where she learned about agriculture and earth and water magics from the residents over the next 20 years.
At the age of 65, she returned to the Mn'tnt komodo colony, sharing what she learned. However, the majority of her fellow komodo were not receptive to the techniques she had to share, and the Trt'kalt (High Council) resolved to banish her. Upon this revelation, many of her family members and friends resolved to leave the colony with her. A grand number of 1,143 komodo of the 15,000+ individual colony followed her on her exile.
Resolved to find a separate place for her and those who followed her to call home, the group embarked on a fleet of skiffs from the shores of the coastal human town of Elizabetta in exchange for manual labor with the townspeople. After nearly 30 days of sailing, the fleet arrived on the fertile shores of the B'ckth Islands, in the shadow of the Hrthath volcano.
