High Common
High Common was an older trade language dating all the way back to some time shortly after the end of the Mythic Era. It is said that High Common was originally derived from the language of the gods themselves. This language facilitated universal communication and trade between the disparate magic zones around Arvalor. High Common began to fall out of use following the Iron Revolution and the independence of the non-magical races. Common has replaced High Common as the universal language of trade. Vanishingly few people bother to learn High Common anymore, and the language is dead for all intents and purposes. A handful of words in High Common, such as Ocularium and Caecorum, still see use in the modern era.
