Personal history

Zotiere the wise was born to unknown parents and abandoned in the settlement of Arcadia presumably due to him being a Tiefling. He was raised amongst the gathering of mages as little more than a servant, though in his spare time Zotiere perused and practised the arcane arts with whatever books he could get his hands on when eyes were turned. When discovered, however, the mages did not punish him; rather, they saw the raw magical talent he possessed and began to train him alongside the other young mages. Zotiere quickly surpassed them in skill, and grew to be one of the most respected members of the community. When the Mage's Guild officially took form, he was immediately nominated to lead the Arcadian branch. It is important to note that Arcadia's system of nobility differs greatly from that of places such as Empala, as power and intellect are most valued, hence Zotiere's heritage had no impact on his position within the mages. Since coming into power, Zotiere has been active in expanding the productivity and industry of Arcadia and the Mage's Guild as a whole, being the one to suggest a Royal College to officially train new mages. He maintains a very professional relationship with the fellow leaders of the Mage's Guild, though his distaste for the crude workings of Arcanelle is hardly a secret.
