Scope
The motivation behind building Artterra
Making a world that's the better version of what we live in. Less but quality choices. Magic being used to relieve the Earth of being a source and as helper to people and creatures. Humans and creatures helping each other rather than trying to kill each other. Love and Light ruling over and the dark moments - even when present - being conquered and pushed back into history.
The goal of the project
I'm creating a world for the world itself. I'm making it to be a pool where I can turn a corner and grab myself a story idea to write and develop.
Artterra's Unique Selling point
It's my own. It takes from what I see, what I feel as wrong, what I judge as something that can be better. It's based on far more traditional values and their actual deep meaning [family, love, friendship - they've become forgotten mostly in our world right now. Their meaning has faded. ] than flashy short - lived fashions and "selling" words and trends.
Theme
Genre
I'd say it's closest to urban fantasy. Magic and technology are mixed to the point where they do depend on each other most of the time with electricity-driven technologies being a backup version for magic hiccup-moments and short-term fails.
Reader Experience
The main feel is casual. As in - you wake up, you see one sun in the sky, you see one moon in the night sky, you go to work - but you can fly your motorbike-flying broom hybrid to it; you go to malls or movies or to the park where - hey, that's a fairy carrying donuts! - and then you go home, do home chores, play on the computer - that will never NOT have internet and then go to sleep. Occasionally go to school too. And if you're lucky you might get to go to the world of Forice where dragons will let you pet them. It's like - next door.
Reader Tone
Ordinary people can all of a sudden get play-attacked in a Dragons of Disaster happening or they can get jumped by a rogue portal and find themselves in the universe of a movie or anime they like. /or in one they don't.../ But other than that - it's pretty pleasant and normal-feeling. Light and green and fresh.
Recurring Themes
- magic + technology
- portals, portal jumping & rogues
- dragons & fantastical beings roaming along humans
- The United Worlds Council led by Queen Kathrin Krown of Forice and her direct heir - Valora Krown. The Royal family are half-dragon beings called dracoss who mix up with their people most of the time and rule with the power of compromise, negotiation and observation.
- Anime or movie themes can jump in & out. The world is like an anchor in the middle of a storm where if you are send off to another world you can always return safely.
Character Agency
It depends on the choices the character makes in the situations he's facing. One wrong choice can send him to jail or get him a dinner with the Princess. And if on that dinner he says the right thing - changing something in the world is a matter of impression.
Focus
Agriculture, Trade, Market works
Rulebook - what are the laws for co-existing for the different species

- Something's going on in the Royal family: what's up with Valora's looks?
- Vampire attacks are getting more and more common. No one seems to be trying to stop them.
- The Guarding Dragon seems to be unsettled. Mermaids are fleeing some areas of the sea. What's happening with that?
