From the shadows

Purpose

In 2012, after a fire took the "White Lady of the Woods" orphanage, the letter was received in the right time when the destinies of the 500+ children were in question. As it was perfectly on-time and made a very needed and acceptable offer, the author was reached and an agreement was made for acting upon it.

Historical Details

Legacy

The Mayor of Rockdoors - Mayor Thundrall - did accept the offer of the author of the letter. As he reached the person with the help of the business card that was in the same envelop as the letter, a deal was made and before December of the same year 250 of the children who survived the fire were already in new loving homes. Another 50 found their families outside of the town of Rockdoors in the first week of January 2013. By the end of January another 150 were sent all over Terra and the last 120 were actually brought with organized luxury transport through portals into other worlds where the locals were open to accepting humans within their midst.
All the children - every single one of them  - was given a mobile device with contacts in it to reach proper services should they feel threatened and mistreated in their new family but up to 2020 none of those services ever received a single phone call. All those kids are also connected through social media as when their phones were given to them they had access to the WizWebCafe (a version of Facebook) and they discovered a group they were all a part in called "The White Lady's Sprites".

The Author
The actual author of the letter was the mayor of the smaller town in the town of Rockdoors named Fogfalls - Mayor Thorn Lockwood. The fact that he's from a completely different world where his species is considered a "nightmare in the shadows, terror of the fog, blood on the wind" ... and overall feared, makes his gesture even more admirable
