Diamond Spintop

The Diamond Spintop is an extremely tall tower that's located on Terra, in the capital city of Aifos, and is a place where whenever there is a space-originating newcomer/visitor a leader of the planet of Terra /aka the Royal Family of Forice/ or the mayor/Council representor will go and talk to the visitor-to-be: to ensure they're coming with peaceful intentions and to welcome them appropriately.

Purpose / Function

The tower was built shortly after the combining of the worlds of Terra and Forice in order to quite literally "extend an invitation" to cosmic beings to come to this exact planet should they want a friendly helping hand. Ideally when an extraterrestrial ship is detected one of the country's - or the worlds' leaders - will go up in the tower, to the tallest possible floor and communicate through the transparent walls of the enchanted room there with whatever the being visiting is.

Alterations

Through the years the tower's had more technological elements included but also - the mechanism that keeps it up and running at all times of the year has been developed and exposed to the public through actually showing the pipework and installing glass panels made of web-glass instead of regular reinforced glass. 

In 1569 the tower had its top floor run over by unmanned ship that - after recovery and investigating of the remains of which - was discovered to come from a strange Blue Planet with their own versions of humans and very peculiar taste in music. The remains of that ship/satellite were used as scrap metal in patching some of the older mechanisms through the years. The information was kept for eventual encounter purposes and the floor of the tower was remade to be wider, have less breakable furniture and non-physical technology inside of it.

Architecture

The tower is a mashup of a few very different architectural styles - the exposed and displayed pipework and mechanical parts that remind of steampunk are combined with modern white and blue walls climbing high above the clouds and then transitioning into a twisted and turning spinning top-floor-walls made of highly reflective futuristic-looking materials and softly glowing neon lights.
