Artranea

The known world of Artranea still reels from Orcish Invasion that raged from the south a little more than 200 years ago. The Empire of Hierarch that formed to turn back this scourge still reigns supreme in the north, south towards the source of the invasion the scattered remains of the southern kingdoms are slowly reforming into new lands. Hierarch is a primarily human land, but the great wave of those escaping the invasion the Empire is the most mixed of the nations.   The elves live in widely separated city centered kingdoms. Two to the east in the great forests who welcome the outside world. To the south is a xenophobic elvish city. Under the great forests also lies the city of the drow.   To the south and west in the center of ocean lies the Oganostrov. The Union of Clans are a nation of dragonborn who built the greatest navy of world. Taking advantage of the invasion they have seen an unprecedented era of expansion.   The dwarves live in the realms of Nordhelm, Sitadel, and Sudhelm. Nordhelm is by far the richest, having provided weapons and arms to Hierach. Sitadel lay on the southeast border and provided a bulwark against the Orcs. Sudhelm has been rarely heard from since the invasion being close to the Orclands. The last known word from them was that they were fighting a war against the Duergar.
