Most people,save the Wood Elves who worship them, know Jynxes to be tricksters that constantly meddle in our affairs for fun not really caring what happens. I can assure you though this is far from the truth. Now while adolescent and child Jynxes certainly tend to pull tricks on mortals quite often which I believe to be the prime cause of this misconception for most to do grow out of that behavior and even then they are inherently good as they never want to cause any real harm to people. In the event their pranks cause someone's death most tend to watch of the family in question. Ah and I should mention that Jynxes are almost never in their true form and can take on the appearance of any race or animal they choose and even take on some abilities depending on the form. Though if you still don't quite believe me then know this...A Jynx will often announce themselves as such if they have pure intentions.

As I implied there are some limitations to the jynxes shape shifting abilities. These are that they have to within the size range that is natural to the thing they are changing into, Can't change into objects or Djinn, and they only gain the physical abilities of what ever they change into while none of the mental or magical ones with one exception. My Jynx friend informed me recently that their leaders, The Jynx Elders, are able to ignore most of them save for not even the elders can change into Djinn. Other then just being more powerful then the normal Jynx they can mix and match traits of other races as well. For example they can take on the appearance of a Dark Gnome but be as big as a Sphinx! They also rule currently unquestioned over the Jynxes...for now. He seemed to be implying that more and more of his kind are becoming disillusioned about the elders.


Finally there are only two races I currently know of that the Jynxes despise completely. They are the Angels and the Demons. Both are cruel in their acts against mortal kind and have designs to either bend us to their will or destroy us. In this the Jynxes have taken it upon themselves to fight both forces for they quite enjoy mortals and wish for us to be able to enjoy and live our lives. Of course this War against the demons is recent as both have existed since ancient times without too much conflict. My friend said something about the demons not always being here? Not quite sure what he meant but I intend on finding out. If only I could figure out how to get where the immortals come from.

Second Stage-Guardian Stage. While still a lover of pranks their motivations normally shift and now seek to keep the mortal realm safe from out realm interference.
