Crystal Weapons

Excerpt from a journal of Imortalium Crystal Researcher Markas Chrom
...I have discovered ,which in some ways is hard to believe, another use for Imortalium crystals. Both Major and Minor. And that is the Crystal Weapons most commonly found in the Lunarium Empire who were the first to buy such things from the Dwarves of the Wuldok Mountains who make the cores of these weapons out of the Imortalium Crystals they gather carving runes into them, which I am told is a incredibly dangerous task. These cores can then be bonded with to make the weapons in question.
Now both cores make both a being and a weapon that are separate but one. And what's even more interesting is that fact Minor and Major cores do have differences between them. Minor ones have no true will of their own and serve their master/wielder without question and lose their memories the moment they become a core again which happens when their wielder dies. Major cores however seem to be fully sentient beings and are fully capable of disobeying their wielders and are able to retain their memories after being turned into a core much like the one that has been in the Lunarium Empires royal family for generations and they can even break the bond without their wielder's death.
I have seen the power of these weapons first hand and it is great! I dare say that with proper training such a weapon could be used to fight on the same level as Amazonia's Knights. Now before you go getting a core to have your own crystal weapon now this bonding is not a guaranteed thing. Minor Cores can cause quite the bit of pain if rejection happens and Major Cores can cause anywhere from debilitating injuries to death and it's important to know that the rejection rate is much higher for Major Cores then Minor cores almost as if Major Cores decide who they bond with. You know now that I think about it some this seems similar to the Crystalians and the scarred in the sense that it's the major crystals that turn people into Crystalians with very much different personalities...Could the two be...

Was said a good crystalian told the dwarves how to make these. Only they know for sure if it is true but one thing is for sure. The dwraves don't really know what each crystal they turn to a core contains.
