Draschtef (ˈdrash-,tef)

By strength of dragons, take what is deserved.

Descendants of drakes, the brutish draschtef are dangerous warriors and gluttonous individuals who thrive in any situation they can lay claim to territory or power. These land-bound relatives to the wyvarans are often somehow more troublesome to deal with.   Physical Description: The most defining feature among draschtef is their particularly long and flexible neck, allowing them to easily swerve it around to look in nearly any direction, this is also one of the primary reasons for their increased weight, due to the notable amount of flesh covering their neck. When combined with their overall sturdy and bulky body types, they often easily can just use their weight as leverage against most people. Connected to this neck is their draconic head, which has the most notable feature of their incredibly dangerous maw. This mouth is lined to the brim with teeth for ripping apart flesh and can open disgustingly wide. Other features of their head usually depend on the drake the draschtef descends from, such as horns, overall thickness of their scales, scale colour, eye colour, and overall eye shape. Their body often vary less, almost always bulky to even carry their head and neck, along side a relatively meaty tail that simply trails along on the ground, dragged everywhere. Both their feet and hands have large claws, but due to their weight, draschtef commonly lack the ability to make any use of claws on their feet offensively, but often do love using the claws on their hand when they see use for it. The scales on their body are not particularly thick depending on their drake ancestry but some are said to have ostensibly thicker scales then normal.

Society: Like the wyvarans, draschtef lack any real society, instead dwelling with those who are willing to care for them during their young age. Often, draschtef are a handful unless properly taught with a strict and firm hand, and can be too much for most who choose to become their caretakers. In the most common case with kobolds, like with wyvarans where kobolds often begin to starve themselves or fail to properly care for the draschtef, they are often eaten as supplement to the growing draschtef's diet. This aggressively carnivorous mindset often makes draschtef incredibly dangerous when they grow to maturity, and most that resort to this often have problems not getting what they want as an adult.   Relations: Perceived as brutish by most, especially by more reserved races such as elves or lamia, the draschtef have both a terrible and amazing reputation, one of gluttonous warmongers and rabblerousers who pick fights with whoever doesn't give them what they want, but also as powerful warriors and brawlers who can take a hit and deliver it back like a frenzied beast and force a group to do what it wants. In this same way, it could be said draschtef know what they want and can do what is necessary to acquire it. Which means they can easily get along with the likes of chao wei, or anyone else particularly self-obsessed, at least from the point of view of "camaraderie."   Alignment and Religion: Draschtef are not particularly religious beyond their worship of the dragonfather, and are usually too self-absorbed to be particularly interested in servitude to the divine. Draschtef are also particularly biased towards the chaotic alignment, but are capable of being any alignment.   Adventurers: Draschtef can potentially make good adventurers due to their strength, but their headstrong attitudes and avaricious traits often result in in-fighting with their party members over loot, and their blatant disregard for other's safety at times often results in endangering their allies. Those that do often end up as front liners such as barbarian or fighter, but can fulfill any role if necessary.
