Asagovola (ə-ˈsā-(ˌ)gō-vōl-ä)
What is decay, if not making room for new life?
Unknown to most of the world, the asagovola spend most of their lives hiding and disguising themselves from world, knowing their unworldly and profane form would ostracize them.
Physical Description: Somewhat visually similar to a mutant black fly, asagovola are flying insectoid with large compound eyes that make their home in skeletons in a manner similar to hermit crabs. With two sets of wings and 2 long lithe arms, they often make up for their lack of legs while not piloting a skeleton. Their eyes often come in a variety of vibrant colors such as red or green, while their soft carapace is often black or a dark grey. Their physical form often ends up affected by the skeleton they choose as a shell, gaining the original creature's attributes partly, allowing them to better mimic the creature they've acquired the skeleton of. They have small, soft shelless tendrils near their mouth to help them readjust while within their shell while their proboscis come out of the skull and is often hidden in the skeleton's jaw to properly eat and mimic eating like the original creature.
Asagovola excrete an gooey acid that they coat their skeleton in, this acts as both an adhesive and mimics ligaments between the bones and allows them to puppeteer the skeleton, to a point of unnatural movement, this excretion is commonly a light salmon pink but is not easily visibly from a distance.
Society: Asagovola lack any form of society due to their low numbers, however most asagovola cherish any moment they can interact with another of their kind, their infertility meaning even the death of one is harrowing to hear in the eyes of another.
Relations: Due to their secretive and reclusive nature, while most asagovola like the presence of others, they are often mistreated by others unless they have made a good reputation to withstand the hurt to their name if they were to be outed. In addition they are not within the the brigandine pact as they cannot properly enter, nor have any cohesive representation.
Alignment and Religion: Their infertility coming from a curse by the cosmos itself, many asagovola are incredibly repentant, seeking any chance of reprieve or freedom from their universal punishment placed upon them at the point of their creation. As such asagovola frequently worship any gods that share the same interests. Despite this repentance, asagovola have no particular leanings for their alignment as some asagovola also resort to profane means for a chance overcome their infertility.
Adventurers: As Asagovola fear being ostracized, they dislike standing out, and often choose to avoid being adventurers if possible, though those that do can enjoy not standing out as much compared to their peers. Their nature as corpse eaters make them naturally useful against undead, and they are naturally inclined towards dexterous vocations.
