Lyn Rurako

Lyn Rurako (a.k.a. Phoenix)

One of Sonnungr's incoming students and a girl who isn't shy about her drive and standoffish nature. She was born in Nagano, but has lived about half of her life in Ars in the arms of a foster family. She isn't the easiest to make friends with, and she isn't making very good progress in her own right to do so. She isn't the most skilled when it comes to being around others for too long, and due to some insecurities, she's developed a tough outer shell to guard herself. The utmost of these insecurities is her health, and the condition of her legs. Born into the lineage of a famous and revered martial arts academy headmaster, her dreams and aspirations were essentially crushed as she grew older, as by the time she was 6, she had become weak, unable to walk due to a medical condition she was born with for more than an incredibly brief period. Seen as a bird with clipped wings and a disgrace, she was disowned. Now at Astra Nova, she is looking to take advantage of a very important gift of leg gear that allows her mobility gained from her foster family and prove to herself and maybe even her family that she is the best fighter of them all.

Physical Description

Body Features

Lyn is a tad bit on the shorter side compared to other girls, but not overtly so. Her hair is long and kept usually in two twin ponytails, with large bows that keep them fastened. Her build is fairly average above the waste, her legs, given their weakened state, aren't very full. She has good physical endurance and upper body strength due to years of holding up her own weight and wheeling in a wheelchair.

Apparel & Accessories

Lyn is a House Sonnungr student at Astra Nova. When at school or in classes, she wears the Zeal Set jacket with a grey undershirt, and a black skirt, with black stockings and easy to put on and remove, laceless shoes.
Outside of class, she will typically show up to most occasions in any combination of light jacket and a simple t shirt, as well as thigh high shorts. She owns a share of dresses and skirts, but is a bit embarrassed to wear them around others due to their clash with her more rough and athletic lifestyle.

Personal history

Lyn is the daughter of a grand-master of a martial arts school. Though this in itself would be a prestigious title for any child to hold, she is scorned by her family, essentially disowned as a negligible husk of wasted potential, entirely due to the fact she was born with a medical condition that renders her almost completely incapable of walking on her own, or at least at a slow pace for more than 15 minutes. This disowning from her pedigree has created several problems for her, and she lives with a kind couple who took her in within the bounds of Ars. Her essentially foster father help her construct a piece of arcanotech that would help her problem, at least with due time and training. A pair of bionic leg braces powered by her regalia and a magic battery that strengthen her leg's capabilities and remove most of the strain off her body. She has worked relentlessly with this new ticket to proving her worth, and has set her sights on becoming a hero and attending Astra Nova Academy in order to really show the limits of her abilities.
