Enzo Kitagawa

Enzo Kitagawa (a.k.a. Jetstream)

A student of House Mandalay and a newcomer to both Astra Nova and this region of Sonenheim. Growing up in the seedy city of Ikuran, Enzo has always been exposed to a tough life, and trust is something that either was difficult to come by, or forged with fingers crossed for their safety and your own. His parents were both figureheads of the sea. His mother, a high ranking lieutenant in the Ikuran Navy. His father, by most legends, is a ferocious and merciless captain of a feared band of infamous Nagano pirates. The exact details of his life are fuzzy, and he's made no effort to exclaim about his past period, holding the personality of a mysterious wanderer. Like many Mandalay students, he is very adept in his craft, that of which being a self adapted mixture of swordplay techniques made up of both a style of techniques used by seafaring Cascadian sailors and a fairly forgotten technique carried over from Nagano. He utilizes both his swordplay and marksmanship with a rifle in tandem, and is no stranger to brawling and feats of acrobatics. He's ambitious though his end goals are coated in vagueness, hidden under his reserved but charismatic shell. In battle, he tends to become a bit more open, and is adept in recognizing the traits of others, even those he is fighting, and exploiting them to garner an advantage or make light of the quarrel with. His casual demeanor during battle is more or less half a ploy, as his skill rivals even some senior students, and he can take opponents who underestimate him by surprise. Though a bit of a realist who recognizes the follies of the world and even heroism, his heart seems to be more or less in the right place most of the time.

Physical Description

Body Features

Being born of Nagano and Cascadian parents, he has a fair mixture of both within his gene pool. His skin is a light tan and doesn't burn easily, though the way he builds muscle is closer to what is typically for people of Nagano instead of the sturdy and wider builds common to the people of Cascade. He keeps his hair long, typically a bit past his shoulders, and keeps it mostly out of his face and in a messy ponytail. He's quite developed for an age, having an early start, including a light growth of facial hair that is noticeable thanks to the dark color of his hair. He has a cascadian style tattoo sleeved over his upper arm that he procured of his own volition when he was older, though when and how is not known.

Apparel & Accessories

Mandalay students have one of two choices just like every other house when it comes to the colors they adorn. Enzo wears the Spirit Set jacket of Mandalay's house colors, though most times he is allowed he keeps it wrapped around his waist. Under that he wears a black school tank top, a pair of white school pants that are a bit on the big side, and boots.
Outside of school he wears baggy pants and either a tank top or an open jacket with nothing underneath, as well as sometimes sandals or boots. He has an orange banana he wears wrapped around his forearm, and a yellow one with a nautical emblem of his mother's Navy Ship wrapped around his forehead.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Not much of his personal life is known. He was supposedly born in Cascade, but moved along with his parents to Ikuran, which would become his home from there on. He is believed to be an only child, and had a hard life, living amongst the notoriously seedy city and having parents that, according to reports, had a falling out that tore his family asunder forever. It's not clearly known why he has come to Astra Nova to perue hero work, but he is known to work hard to keep up his craft. Many students gossip he was placed by the Blue Flame Council in Corvian after his exam, but decided to place himself into Mandalay of his own volition.
