Grenade Launcher

Since a grenade's usefulness is limited by how far it can be thrown, various cultures and races have developed their own solutions for extending both the range and accuracy of grenades. A grenade launcher in it's simplest form is a tube that launches a regular hand-thrown grenade at higher velocities than can be achieved by throwing. The actual launching mechanism can vary, with different cultures and races adopting different designs. Gauss induction coils, spring pistons, compressed air, and miniature explosive charges are common launch mechanisms.
