Livingwood Plants

Now time to talk about the feared Livingwoods. The reason they are so feared is that these plants don't quite follow the normal rules of the world, mass constancy, and all that. Livingwoods are, on the surface, very chaotic and dangerous. Of course, that is why we Livingwood Dwellers take on the divine duty to learn to control and use them. I will fill this article with information and theories we have discovered and theorized.

One thing we can all agree on is that every supernatural plant in the Livingwoods has what we call a "Trigger," something that sets off the strange part of the plant. These are what really make a plant dangerous, as there is no rhyme or reason to each plant's trigger. It could be as simple as pressure on the plant(in the case of the Upcap), or as subconscious as a whistle. On the other hand, it can be difficult to find what triggers a plant, and once you find it, the only way to know what happens it to trigger it, which could be potentially dangerous. There isn't really a trend with the difficulty of the trigger and the power of the plant.

It is worth noting that not every part of every plant is magical, more often in fact are the plants only having 1 part of them that are magical, such as the Boom Vine seeds being able to magically release an explosion of vines, while the vines are completely harmless once at rest.

Another point that seems to be correct is that the plants are divided into different factions and themes. This is just a theory, keep in mind, and could be disproved by a single oddball plant. Here is a table detailing the supposed factions of plants, which I will be updating as we discover more.

Type-> Plants Seeds Fruit Roots Moss Vines Mold Fungi
"Theme"-> Power Size Illusion Health Cover Travel Energy Balance
Potency Variable-> Health of plant Amount Freshness Dry Health of plant Health of plant Network Size Health of plant
Discovered Plants-> Great Tree Boom Vines Teem Moss Slithers Mshekdah Mold Upcap
Wrappers
So with all those plants and themes and triggers, it can be hard to keep them all in line, so many dwellers have been specializing their research into the categories listed above. They all can up with a special name too, just for fun really, but also as a shortcut for communicating about what they study.

-Plant user: Juggernaut (for the power of the plants)
-Seed user: Slinger (for the way they launch the seeds)
-Fruit user: Illusionist (for the various illusions the fruits conjure up)
-Roots user: Brewist (for their medical brews made with the roots)
-Moss user: Mossier (for obvious reasons)
-Vine user: Speedster (for the speedy way they get around)
-Mold user: Mastermind (for controlling lots of strands of mold at once)
-Fungi user: Acrobat (for being able to jump around fluidly)
-User of all: Liar (because no one can truly master all of the categories)
