Sonnet of Tilestras

Tilestras is the name of a great sword
Shaking the earth, a bringer of wild storms
Soul of the forest, nature’s ancient lord
The trees to fierce warriors it transforms
Defends the woods ‘gainst each and ev’ry foe
Slays beast and elf and man with baleful art
But to the wielder brings terrible woe
For nature’s wrath corrupts its bearer’s heart
And thus, it came to pass in recent times
Blade’s curse befell a gracious elven prince
He slew his kin, the most horrid of crimes
Was banned from woods and not seen ever since
The sword together with prince took its flight
Waiting to return with all of its might

This is the sonnet Auun performs at the Small Candle, its focus is a lot more on the sword than on Kishay this time and is shown to have a will of its own, which unbeknownst to Auun, and pretty much everyone else is actually true. This account of Kishay's story, albeit not the focus of the poem, is probably the closest to what actually happened out of the ones we hear Auun tell.
