Common Arregean

Common Arregean, the Common Tongue or simply Common, is the most wide spread language in Arregeas. Infact it has spread all over the continent and only rarely do you find a place where not at least one person can speak it. Of course not everyone speaks Common Arregean, especially older people (with the exception of many elves) often don't speak it but also in places with little foreign relations only government officials and important merchants might speak it.

History:

Common Arregean was first created for trade and politics, as the different nations and realms of Arregeas got more interconnected. Then, slowly, it got introduced to the general public. It is taught at public schools all over the continent nowadays.

Common Arregean uses a syllable writing System where each character represents a syllable.
