Dawn Republic Organization in Arrak | World Anvil

Dawn Republic

The Dawn Republic is a fairly new nation that rose up in the wake of the Lightfall when Korak the Champion convinced many to band together and lead an effort to rebuild the city of Talis'Val.

Structure

The Government of the Dawn Republic is a mega-faction that governs the entire country. Its seat of government is in Talis'Val. The government, headed by the Champion, comprises of various factions that govern different aspects of the Republic. The factions are Council of Guilds, Council of Wizards, Head of Security and the Marshal Society.

History

Magocracy

At its start the territory that would encompass Dawn Republic was a country ruled by mages. Firstlight is the country's capital.

Lightfall

When the Lightfall happened several shards of Pelor's Light crashed down into the land and killed thousands. Firstlight got the biggest shard and was subsequently destroyed.

Founding of the New Republic

Korak the champion, a dragonborn warrior from Bressaras, came to the remaining cities in the region and united them to form a republic under his rule, founding a new capital in the ruins of the religious city of Talis'Val. He united the merchant guilds and made the country prosper under his rule.

Trouble in the Republic

In recent years two groups have been causing tension and terror inside of the republic, The Broken Sky and the Burning King. The Broken Sky have so far been more organised with a number of settlements choosing to align themselves with this splinter faction rather than the government in Talis'Val. The Burning King however just seems to causes random destruction across the land.

Religion

The Most common deities followed inside of the Dawn Republic are Bahamut, Pelor, Astara, Avandra and Erathis.

However the Republic has an almost full freedom of religion policy with the worship of only three deities being outlawed, the worship of Asmodeus, Torog and Zehir.
