Torchblade

A Torchbalde is one of the rarer tools carried by adventurers. Despite it's advanced design, it doesn't originate from Cogys, which has led many to believe it its from the Age of Divinity.
At first glance, a Torchblade appears to be a small, decorative torch with a slot in its hilt. This slot is believe to hold a power cell of some sort. Tinkerers have managed to bridge the technology gap, using various batteries or power sources to power the Torchbalde, though many speculate this solution is far from sufficient to use its full potential.
There are two known uses of the Torchbalde: as a torch and as a blade, as its name suggests. While used as a torch, it casts bright light out to an adjustable distance in a hue aligned with its power source. When used as a blade, the energy consolidates into the equivalent of a longsword. It is believe that there are more functions than these two, but either a more powerful or more consistent power source would be required to unlock them.
